Sony is no longer in control of the VAIO range, but that does not stop the brand to continue to exist and even ... to innovate. It was able to see during the Adobe MAX conference drag a prototype that could remonstrate with the Surface Pro 3.

This VAIO Prototype Tablet PC - we expect that its final name will be a little different - is a monster 12.3-inch tablet with a quad-core Intel signed. The screen displays a resolution of 2560 x 1704 powered by Iris Pro card.

The unit comes with a protective shell that, once removed, also serves as a Bluetooth keyboard. A kickstand on the back of the unit can hold vertically. In fact, the giant tablet will undoubtedly have a little trouble holding on thighs, but its place is on a desk, where we can move relatively easily.

Technically speaking, it contains everything that a traditional PC: two USB 3.0 ports (against only one for the Surface Pro 3), HDMI output, a mini DisplayPort, audio output, an Ethernet port, and a slot SDXC.

VAIO Corp should propose this unit a few months in Japan for the equivalent of about $ 1,800.
